How Does Self Cleaning Litter Box Work?
Petree Freshener Remover Box
Petree Automatic Litter box has a custom box for Petree Smell Remover Freshener. It is made with fibrous cotton, natural plant essential oils such as cedar and sage, and anti-bacterial properties that effectively removes odour and sterilises the air.
Petree Automatic Litter Box operates in extremely quiet sound so you and your cat can enjoy the night without getting disturbed by any noise or disturbances.
Design: Low CG design keeps the system stable and upright. Prevents toppling over even with heavy weight shift.
Safety Stop: Globe stop rotation if sensor detects a cat entering the globe during mid cycle
Pet Proof Cable: Durable micro-braid power cable built to withstand pet bites and chewing.
Litter Volume Indicator: There is a max line indicating how much litter you should put inside Petree Litter Box.
Odor Control: Petree Litter Box used an activated carbon filter odor management system to effectively control the smell of the litter in the dumpster.
Elevated Sifting System: Petree’s patented sifting system funnels waste clumps to the back waste bin.
Waste Bin: Waste is funnelled to back of globe and housed in a 4L covered waste bin

How many cats can use the Petree Litter Box?
Will the globe start turning when my cat is inside?
No it will not turn when your cat is inside. Our patented cat protection system will detect your cat presence once your cat is inside the globe.
What if my cat won't use the Petree Litter Box?
First we recommend you follow our training guide to help your cat get used to our Litter Box. If your cat won’t use our Litter Box after multiple attempt. Feel free to follow our return process since we give you 30 day money back guarantee return policy with us.
How often do I need to empty the waste drawer?
As rule of thumb, you’ll clean waste drawer once a week if you have only one cat. Then you’ll clean waste every 3-4 days if you have two cats. If you have more than 3 cats, you’ll have to clean the drawer every 1-2 days.
Does the Petree Litter Box require special litter?
No, the Petree Litter Box simply requires clumping litter. We recommend a high-quality, standard-weight, clay-based clumping litter. Some silica gel litter beads and crystals can also be used with the Petree Litter Box, as long as they pass through the screen. Alternative, plant-based litters may also work, but these tend to form looser clumps that can cause condensation in the waste drawer. When using a plant-based litter, we recommend emptying the waste drawer and cleaning more frequently. Litters that do not work in the Petree Litter Box are the strictly absorbent, non-clumping or loose-clumping litters, newspaper-based litters, and absorbent wood pellet litter.
How much litter do I put in the Petree Litter Box?
There’s a max line inside the globe that tells you how much litter you can put inside of the globe. Normally 7-10 pounds of litter will do each time.
Will the Petree Litter Box eliminate all litter box odor?
No, Petree Litter Box will not remove all odors. However, the waste is removed and contained the the waste cabin, which will significantly reduce the litter odor in your room. Beside, we have a carbon filter placed close to the carbon cabin so it can filter out the bad smell and mold brought with cat litter. While Petree Litter Box is very effective with the odor control, the overall level of odor also depends on the amount of cats, the type of litter you use, how frequent you change the drawer and your cat’s diet.
Does Petree Litter Box require special garbage bags?
No, it does not require special garbage bags. Any regular garbage bag will do. Meanwhile our package comes with one pack of garbage bag that you can use for up to 3 months.
I love my Petree automatic cleaning box. I should have gotten it years ago. My cats love it too! I've told other cat owners about the Petree automatic cleaning cat box. I just love it!
This product is so worth the money. It’s easier clean up, quiet and efficient. However, it is a little messy because of the litter splashing out as the device turns to clean. But they do have an attachment curtain that I would recommend purchasing with the product. Also, adding in the litter is a little tougher than I imagined and you do have to make sure you press the button quickly two times so it knows you’re adding litter (otherwise the weight sensor can be inaccurate). But those are seriously just minor things. Both my kitty and I love this product!! She hated the pellet litter bc it didn’t mask the smell (despite it saying it would, lol) and she peed outside the litter box all the time. But this product fixed that problem up instantly! Definitely worth it!
I do a lot for my cats, and now I did this for myself. I had a friend suggest this - the wifi version, then gently prod me into getting it. I love this so much! I wish I would have known this years ago. It has made my life so much easier, and my cat's love it! Didn't take them long to get used to it - even the very skittish one. Money very well spent!
So far the movement is quiet and litter moves easily through the system. I have notice more in clumped litter in the storage bag which was unexpected. I have three cats and the only one not freaked out by the turning is the kitten. Have had to keep a second box for the other two cats. At least until I can get them to be okay with the new box. It is a work in progress. Hoping they all get more used to this soon
I’ve had the litter box for about two weeks and it works well. My cat took to it right away. Very quiet
I have wanted an automatic litter box for the longest time but wanted to make sure I invested in the right one. This brand & model is perfect. So easy to set up & change. What sold me was being able to buy replacement parts like the inner liner & a larger disposable area. My cat’s transitioned with no problem & they are very picky cats! Also shipping was so fast!
I had a Robot Automated Cat Litter Box before and after about 4 years of great use, it just quit working. I decided to try The Petree because of the lesser cost and high reviews. So far it works great. The container for the discarded litter is smaller than the drawer on the Robot, bit I just have to change it more often. It was a good buy.
This was the most reasonably priced automatic litter box and it works amazing. Since day one have not had one issue, very easy to use, I like that it notifies you on your phone once the box is full.
I was so done cleaning out litter boxes. I'm the only one in the household who will and it was getting old. I decided to bite the bullet and invest in an automated litter box. I spent a lot of time researching and comparing various models before I decided to go with Petree (w/wifi). I have two cats. One who fears nothing and the other who is skeptical of everything! We recently had an issue with our local pet store unable to stock their clumping litter that's refillable due to supply chain problems. I had to choose an alternative which was the ground corn husks. Not the nicest smelling stuff but it would have to do in a pinch. Well, I think with the combination of the new plastic smell of the Petree unit, their odd smelling litter and a rather messy first attempt at use....my pickier feline turned her nose up and walked away! Lovely! After four days of trying to encourage her but not scare her, I broke down and took the entire thing apart, gave it a thorough cleaning to establish new smells. By the way, taking this unit apart and re-assembling it is a complete breeze; don't be intimated by its size! At last, my pet supplier was in full supply of our favorite litter so quickly I set to re-assembling the Petree. I could barely keep them both out of it long enough to plug it back in! WOOHOO!!! Success at last! I personally feel they are even more excited about having a fresh clean box every time they step in! I can go about 3 days on the XL litter catch with these two so I'm completely happy about that! Easy process! I love the app. I agree it could use some extra features but again, I'm very please with what I've purchased and would highly recommend it! Matter of fact, a friend of mine is using me as the guinea pig before she commits to a unit herself! I hope this helps for anyone who is truly on the fence. Recommendation: perhaps try giving it a good wash before introduction if you have cats who are finicky about smells. Good luck!
I’ve had the unit about a month now, with 3, 4 month old kittens using it. They took to it right away which was good. It wasn’t cycling automatically at first, then I read the instructions and found that it’s not supposed to sit on carpet. So, I placed a hard rubber mat on the carpet and placed the unit on the rubber mat. It’s been working fine ever since. I also got the larger 7 liter box and it lasts about 5 days. I’m also using the Fresh Step crystals instead of clumping litter. The crystals work good and do not fill the box as fast because the urine just gets absorbed and stirred up instead of forming a clump and going into the box. The crystals last about 2 weeks, and You’ll have had to add a little from time to time because some of it goes into the box. Do not overfill or the excess will go into the box and also fall onto the mat in front. It’ll take about 1/2 of an 8 lb bag with no overflow. When it’s time to change the crystals (they become discolored) I use my shop vac to suck them out, very easy. You may have to clean the inside a little with a damp paper towel or windex/409 type product.
The Wi-Fi version works pretty good, the app tell s you frequency per day, average frequency, weight of cat, average weight and the time of day of each use. The only thing it doesn’t tell you is whether it pee or poop, LOL.
I think that’s about it, I hope this helps you make a decision.
