I've had the Petree box for a bout a month, and so far I am very happy with it. It's very quiet, and does a great job scooping all the clumps solidly. I have 4 cats, and they all adapted to it very easily. I clean it about once a day. I really love that I can recycle plastic shopping bags to line the waste drawer. My only real dissatisfaction (and it's very small) is that I struggle getting the waste drawer in & out, and sometimes this results in spillage from the drawer getting on the floor or out of the bag and into the drawer itself. Again, not a deal breaker. We are very happy with the box and hope it continues to work as well as it has.
I purchased 3 of these for my 7 cats. Yes, 7. The boxes are always clean and there is no odor. My cats are happy, and I am ecstatic! These are terrific. Cats adapt quickly and taking care of them is a breeze. Great purchase. Considering a 4th. I did also order the larger waste container. I have previously used a well-known competitor’s auto litter box. It is so much noisier and it’s high off the ground. We always had to turn that one off at night. Not so, with Petree. I have had the litter box for just over 2 weeks now! It’s been a lifesaver for my household. We only have one cat and I probably change the bag 1 time a week and it’s about half full.. I do this because around 1 week is when I start to smell a faint smell! As soon as it’s changed we are back to fresh house again!
The Petree Litterbox works. It generally always leaves a clean litter bed for my cat and my cat loves watching it go. (She thinks it's some kind of toy). The system itself is very easy to clean and emptying out the waste bin hasn't been a problem for me. I also appreciate the litter mat the system came with. My cat loved kicking litter out of her old litter box to break it in and she did that same with this one, but the mat caught everything. It's also very quiet.
My only problem with the Petree litter box is that there are times that it stops mid cycle. When this happens, I press and hold the multifunction button for about 5-8 seconds and the system will complete the cycle on it's own. (I wish this advice was in the manual but ehh).
Stopping mid cycle is the main reason why I wish the Wi-Fi version of this product was available in America. I don't mind pressing the button to continue the cycle but it'd be convenient to do it from afar.
Side Note: There's this WeChat reference in the instructions. I'm guessing we can only contact the Petree Litter Box team that works on this site because I tried using the WeChat but because I wasn't resident of China... so it was kind of a dead end.
All in all, it does what it’s supposed to. My cat uses it. It’s not difficult to troubleshoot at all. And it didn't cost an arm and a leg. I am happy with this product!

An excellent product. Easy to use and my cats love it. Highly recommend. The liter stays clean and fresh. We use far less liter now than we did with conventional liter box. We have two cats and it works perfectly.

Will the globe start turning when my cat is inside?

How often do I need to empty the waste drawer?
As rule of thumb, you’ll clean waste drawer once a week if you have only one cat. Then you’ll clean waste every 3-4 days if you have two cats. If you have more than 3 cats, you’ll have to clean the drawer every 1-2 days.
Does the Petree Litter Box require special litter?
No, the Petree Litter Box simply requires clumping litter. We recommend a high-quality, standard-weight, clay-based clumping litter. Some silica gel litter beads and crystals can also be used with the Petree Litter Box, as long as they pass through the screen. Alternative, plant-based litters may also work, but these tend to form looser clumps that can cause condensation in the waste drawer. When using a plant-based litter, we recommend emptying the waste drawer and cleaning more frequently. Litters that do not work in the Petree Litter Box are the strictly absorbent, non-clumping or loose-clumping litters, newspaper-based litters, and absorbent wood pellet litter.
How much litter do I put in the Petree Litter Box?
There’s a max line inside the globe that tells you how much litter you can put inside of the globe. Normally 7-10 pounds of litter will do each time.
Will the Petree Litter Box eliminate all litter box odor?
No, Petree Litter Box will not remove all odors. However, the waste is removed and contained the the waste cabin, which will significantly reduce the litter odor in your room. Beside, we have a carbon filter placed close to the carbon cabin so it can filter out the bad smell and mold brought with cat litter. While Petree Litter Box is very effective with the odor control, the overall level of odor also depends on the amount of cats, the type of litter you use, how frequent you change the drawer and your cat’s diet.
Does Petree Litter Box require special garbage bags?
No, it does not require special garbage bags. Any regular garbage bag will do. Meanwhile our package comes with one pack of garbage bag that you can use for up to 3 months.
